Evija BRITISH ALL-ELECTRIC HYPERCAR
Lotus' first model with an electrified powertrain
With an appearance that is nothing short of striking, driving a Lotus Evija will be an incredible experience as much as it is exclusive. In tribute to its Lotus ‘Type’ number, 130, there will only be 130 cars in production.
Pure electric driving
Unprecedented DownforceEvija breathes the air it goes through. Made to be porous, born to be driven. Incredible downforce achieved without any compromise.
Dynamically AccomplishedUnreal performance enabled by electricity. Developments made possible by years of pioneering heritage. Forged by British engineering, created for the drivers.
The most striking element of the Lotus Evija is its exterior. From every angle the full carbon fibre bodywork is stretched taut, appearing shrink-wrapped over the mechanical components.
INTERIOR DESIGNThe interior of the Lotus Evija is as dramatic as the exterior. Inspired by some of our more iconic prototype and race cars of the 1960’s, the interior is a masterpiece of form and function and features a ‘floating wing’ dashboard which can be glimpsed from outside through the windscreen

The new Evija manufacturing hall is located next to a test track that has been graced by some of the most iconic names in motorsport history. Clark, Fittipaldi and Senna have all spent countless hours driving around our track, and their everlasting legacies can be witnessed in every car we craft. The Evija will be no exception.
The Evija assembly area has a focus on being spacious and full of light. State-of-the-art equipment has been installed in the hall to ensure the Evija can be built to the highest
standards, using technology never before seen on a Lotus production line.
GLOBAL VALIDATION TESTING
Our prototype fleet has undergone extensive testing cycles under the watchful eye of our head of attributes, Gavan Kershaw. With an extensive history of professional motorsport, Gavan understands exactly what it entails to drive and develop high performance race cars, ensuring Lotus’ trademark handling capabilities are principal in the cars fundamental characteristics.
‘Lotus has always been about ‘input = output’, so if you do something you get a response, and that’s what we’re balancing now. It’s all about
the detail so, for example, we’re validating the progressive response from the pedals. We know there’s an enormous amount of torque but drivers will only want it when they ask for it with their right foot. It’s about getting that throttle balance
right and refining the dynamics
Now you have been introduced to the Evija, it would be
worthwhile to familiarise yourself with the next steps of
the journey. During the process, you will have a personal
contact directly at Lotus who will support and facilitate
